The Val Verde County Library has three designated Study Rooms: Amistad, Mockingbird, and Bluebonnet. Each room has a table, chairs, a whiteboard, a TV screen, and Wi-Fi access.

Study Room Terms & Conditions

Reservations for the Study Rooms must be made online or by calling the Circulation Desk. 

Staff will not approve reservations for study rooms that exceed three consecutive days or recurring weekly reservations. The VVCL reserves the right to cancel or decline study room requests at any time.


Users must check in at the Circulation Desk before their scheduled reservation time. 

Grace period: 20 minutes from scheduled start time

As with the policy for all other Val Verde County Library (VVCL) areas, soliciting or conducting for-profit business is strictly prohibited in the Study Rooms. Patrons are encouraged to bring their dry-erase markers and erasers, as the Library does not provide these items. Food is prohibited in the Study Rooms, although a covered beverage is allowed. 

Cancellations

Cancellations by the reservation holder should be provided to the Library with at least 24 hours advance notice. If the Library or county requires the use of the study rooms, the Library reserves the right to cancel outside reservations 24 hours before the scheduled event. The VVCL reserves the right to cancel/decline study room requests anytime.

Use of Library Facilities AV Equipment

The study rooms' Audiovisual (AV) equipment is available during scheduled study room hours. Patrons must bring their own HDMI cords, chargers, etc., for the study rooms. 

The person(s) reserving the study room will be responsible for any damages to the study room.
